As a Stepdown Registered Nurse in this high-acuity setting, you'll join a multidisciplinary team working in Oncology, Trauma, PCU, and Med-Surg units. Schedule/Hours:
36 hours per week, 13-week contract 12-hour shifts (varied start times available) Every other weekend requiredSelf-scheduling Qualifications:
Active RN license Minimum one year of PCU or Oncology RN experience BLS, ACLS, andONS/ONCC
chemotherapy certification required NIHSS certification Charge experience preferred for leadership roles (1 year minimum) Genuine passion for patient care, positivity in challenging situations, and strong team orientationResponsibilities:
Manage adult patient populations on a 27-bed unit (Oncology, PCU, Med-Surg) Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem, chemotherapy, heparin, protonix) Float to Med-Surg/PCU as needed Complete orientation and open-book skills assessment (90% to pass) Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff (PT/OT, case managers, social work, educators) Emphasize hourly rounding and patient experienceBenefits and Travel Perks:
