Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Seeking an experienced and motivated physical therapist for an outpatient hospital-based therapy position on a contract basis. This role involves evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patients' progress toward their individualized goals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current physical therapy license in accordance with state requirements Prior experience in hospital or outpatient therapy settings Strong clinical judgment, reasoning, and documentation skills Ability to effectively delegate and direct therapy services to support staff as necessary Commitment to professional standards, Codes of Conduct, and continuous professional development Knowledge of compliance with organizational policies, state practice acts, and relevant guidelinesSchedule/Hours:
Contract assignment (length and exact schedule to be discussed during the interview process)Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans Deliver, monitor, and adjust therapy according to patient needs and physician directives Document all aspects of care clearly, concisely, and in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including goal writing, quality indicators, medical necessity letters, and charge entry Identify and address hazards to maintain a safe patient and staff environment, adhering to safety protocols in all key areas such as patient handling and infection control Educate patients, families, colleagues, and students regarding therapy processes and self-management techniques Participate in student supervision, program development, and create supportive learning environments when applicable Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and act as an active contributor to performance improvement initiativesBenefits:
