Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients using clinical reasoning to formulate and adjust individualized treatment plans that drive progress toward discharge goals. Implement, modify, and delegate discipline-specific therapy services in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. Design functional therapy interventions to enable clients' safe and effective return to community living. Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and participate in the student program as needed. Comply with professional standards, state practice acts, regulatory guidelines, and organization-wide safety initiatives. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, outcomes, and billing in accordance with clinic policy. Foster and participate in continuous professional development, identifying learning goals and applying new knowledge to enhance quality of care. Prioritize a culture of safety for both patients and colleagues through awareness of clinic safety policies and proactive risk management.
Desired Qualifications:
Current, active PT license in the state of Iowa (or willingness to obtain). Demonstrated clinical reasoning and evaluation skills in an outpatient hospital setting. Effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to embrace core values of quality, teamwork, resourcefulness, and respect. Experience with performance improvement initiatives is valued.
