Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with eligibility to practice. Previous experience in a hospital or similar acute care setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with a variety of physical therapy modalities and equipment. Strong assessment, communication, and documentation capabilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Dedication to delivering patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists. Support patients with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and mobility training. Observe, record, and report on patient progress and responses to therapy interventions. Provide education to patients and their families about treatment techniques and at-home exercises. Ensure that all treatments adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and ethical guidelines. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records. Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
