Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PICU Job Type Travel Step into a vital clinical role as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This contract position offers the opportunity to provide exemplary care to critically ill children in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, leveraging your expertise to deliver compassionate, family-centered support during night shifts.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts: 3 x 11.5-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
Qualifications & Experience:
Current and valid RN license required Minimum of 2 years' experience in a pediatric intensive care environment strongly preferred BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (must be active and up-to-date) Strong skills in assessment, rapid response, and pediatric crisis management Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families Proven track record of adapting quickly to challenging, changing clinical situations
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions throughout each shift Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans Support patient families by providing education, emotional reassurance, and regular updates Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform interventions per established protocols Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control policies This role is ideal for compassionate, skilled nurses eager to make a tangible impact in pediatric critical care.
