Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. This opportunity supports surgical patients through critical recovery periods, ensuring their safety, comfort, and swift response to changing clinical needs. Utilize your expertise to assess, monitor, and provide compassionate care during the vital post-operative phase.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or similar setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills Adaptability in rapidly evolving situations and proficiency in post-op monitoring Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with required flexibility to meet facility needs; specific shifts discussed during interview
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients for complications or adverse reactions Provide pain management and execute physician-ordered interventions Document patient progress and ensure proper handoff to subsequent care areas Facilitate smooth patient transitions from surgery to home or inpatient care Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff Educate patients and families during the recovery process
