Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Deliver exceptional patient care and support throughout the post-anesthesia recovery process by utilizing your skills as an RN experienced in PACU. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where your expertise in post-operative patient monitoring and acute care will make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract role Full-time hours expected
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum one year of recent experience in a PACU or post-anesthesia setting BLS and ACLS certifications are required Demonstrated ability to assess, monitor, and care for patients immediately following surgical procedures Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with physicians, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and allied health professionals Strong clinical assessment abilities and crisis management skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide vigilant, hands-on nursing care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period Continually assess patients for pain, sedation, vital sign stability, and recovery progress Administer medications and post-operative treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly Deliver education and emotional support to patients and families recovering from surgery Collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth transitions of care Respond proactively to post-operative complications and emergencies as they arise Why Consider This Opportunity?
