Schedule/Hours:
Rotating shifts—details provided upon interview
Qualifications:
Active RN license BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 1 year pediatric critical care experience (2 years preferred) Previous travel assignment completed (first-time travelers not accepted) Strong skills in managing gtts (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac) Resourceful, collaborative, and adaptable—open bay, team-driven environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert postoperative care to pediatric patients (ages 0-17), occasionally adults per unit need Manage 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios based on acuity Perform telemetry monitoring and medication administration via Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell system Support all hands-on-deck approach in an open bay unit Collaborate with PACU educators, transporters, and reception staff; work closely with anesthesia and charge RN Attend thorough orientation and integrate quickly into team
