Job Description

Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Travel Discover the vibrant city of Louisville, KY—a destination where rich history meets lively arts, renowned cuisine, and scenic parks. Taking on this travel assignment not only expands your clinical expertise but also allows you to experience the pulse of Kentucky's cultural scene during your downtime. Working in Louisville means connecting with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds, gaining valuable insight into different workplace practices, and building your resume with advanced imaging cases in a dynamic environment. This opportunity offers exposure to a high-volume radiology department, averaging 180 exams daily across suites that include ER, outpatient, and main floor settings. You'll work with advanced technology like Shimadzu and GE Portables, Carestream ER systems, OEC c-arms, and O-arms, with supportive colleagues and supervisors by your side. The role provides a mix of inpatient (transplant, cardiac, critical care, OR cases) and outpatient (athletes, trauma, transplant follow-ups) experiences, so you'll deepen your skills while navigating a range of clinical cases.
Schedule/Hours:
Options for 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts (set schedule, may rotate) Weekend rotation required; 12-hour shifts on weekends On-call required: primarily overnight on weekdays, 12-hour shifts on weekends (response time within 1 hour) Holiday coverage as assigned by schedule Up to 7 days of approved time off Free parking with badge access
Qualifications:
ARRT certification, BLS, and valid state licensure required Minimum 1 year of radiology tech experience Open to first-time travelers who are eager to learn Proficient with portables and c-arm usage (O-arm experience preferred or must be willing to learn) Attention to detail and flexibility with hours
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging in ER, main floor, and outpatient suites Support transplant, cardiac, trauma, and critical care imaging needs Efficiently utilize Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS Float to other hospital units, including OR, as needed
