As a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, you'll apply your specialized skills in ionizing radiation, directly contributing to successful patient outcomes in a role characterized by both independence and collaboration. This travel assignment presents the chance to work alongside accomplished providers, observe unique approaches to clinical practice, and build on your expertise with leading-edge equipment—all while broadening your understanding of diverse workplace cultures and leadership styles.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shifts, Monday through Friday between 8am-7pm (shift hours vary each week) Weekends required as needed Contract commences after May 9Qualifications & Credentials:
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program; Associate's degree or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy preferred Current ARRT Radiation Therapy certification (ARRT-T) Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) Proven competency in patient treatment and simulation proceduresKey Responsibilities:
Deliver precise radiation therapy per oncologist and physicist instructions, adhering to rigorous safety protocols Perform patient assessments and adapt care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations Participate in quality control monitoring and daily equipment warm-up Document all treatments and outcomes in the EMR Educate patients and families about therapy and side effects Serve as a clinical instructor, providing guidance and feedback to radiologic and radiation therapy students Assist in on-call rotation and contribute to additional department needsBenefits & Perks:
