Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Travel Embark on a meaningful role as a Radiation Therapist, providing patient-centered care in an advanced clinical setting. In this position, you'll be responsible for delivering precise radiation treatments, working closely with patients and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective therapy. Your expertise will contribute directly to positive treatment outcomes and compassionate patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy accurately and efficiently, following safety protocols Interpret and implement physician treatment plans Position patients for optimal delivery of radiation, ensuring comfort and reproducibility Operate and calibrate linear accelerators and related equipment Monitor patients for side effects, offering education and support throughout their course of treatment Maintain detailed and timely treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians, physicists, nurses, and dosimetrists to assure quality patient care
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program required Current ARRT (T) certification and registration State licensure (if applicable) and BLS certification Previous experience working as a Radiation Therapist, especially in a hospital or oncology setting, strongly preferred Strong technical aptitude with therapy equipment and EMR systems Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient interaction Attention to detail and commitment to safety
