Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Certification as a Radiation Therapist Experience with linear accelerators and HDR equipment preferred Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and safety Excellent interpersonal skills for patient support and team collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

Review patient prescriptions to determine treatment requirements and assess patient history Safely position patients using appropriate immobilization devices and treatment accessories Operate treatment machines with precision, administering ionizing radiation per physician orders Verify radiation prescriptions prior to procedures and document total dose in patient charts Localize patient markings daily and complete ongoing imaging per department policies Assist patients in scheduling appointments and address transportation or counseling referrals Maintain clean, well-stocked therapy rooms and adhere to rigorous quality assurance protocols Participate in the education of radiation therapy students and rotate through various treatment areas
