Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Travel Nestled along California's picturesque coastline, Seaside offers a unique blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and opportunities for adventure. This assignment places you in a 172-bed, Level II Trauma, teaching hospital—home to the area's only trauma center—providing exposure to a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations. The 19-bed emergency department manages about 170 cases daily, ranging from pediatric to complex adult emergencies. While you will not be assigned to the trauma cases, you'll work with highly skilled professionals, benefit from leadership support, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative teaching hospital. This is an outstanding opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise by observing varied practice approaches and evidence-based protocols.
Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment (specific schedule details will be provided during the interview process)
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license with emergency room nursing experience Proficiency with high-acuity patient care in fast-paced environments BLS and ACLS certifications (additional trauma-related certifications preferred) Effective communication skills, flexibility, and a strong sense of teamwork Willingness to float within the department as needed
Role Responsibilities:
Triage, assess, and manage diverse populations presenting to the ER Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including in-house charge RNs and break nurses for optimal patient care Adhere to best practice protocols in patient assessment, intervention, and documentation Maintain a patient-centered approach in all aspects of care
