Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Travel Deliver high-quality emergency care in a busy, collaborative environment serving a diverse patient population, including all ages from infants to geriatrics. This contract position offers the chance to utilize advanced critical care skills within a 31-bed emergency department averaging 78 patients daily.

0700-1900
Mids:
1100-2300
Nights:
1900-0700 Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend Holiday rotation assigned based on department needs No on-call required Schedules created in 6-week increments with manager input; RTO handled through manager approval. Block scheduling is not guaranteed but efforts are made to accommodate requests.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience (any trauma level required) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications First-time travelers not accepted Competency with EMR (Cerner preferred), Plumo IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
Required Experience & Skills:
Proficiency in IV starts, foley and NG tube insertion, neuro assessments (NIHSS), triage, code response, pressor/cardiac drip/sedation/insulin titration, care for critical patients, hyper/hypothermia protocol, and bedside procedure assistance with moderate sedation Solid teamwork and adaptability; able to lead by example and serve as an ER subject matter expert Comfort caring for unhoused or low socioeconomic status patients and broad range of acute/critical conditions (including trauma, cardiac events, DKA, respiratory and renal failure, post-transplant complications)
