This role provides meaningful exposure to state-of-the-art oncology practice, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies. You'll work alongside compassionate leaders, gaining advanced skills in patient care, cancer treatment, and use of EMR systems—all while enjoying the adventure and culture Volcano has to offer during your time off.
Schedule/Hours:
Arrive the Thursday before start for mandatory employee health assessment on Friday. Must be able to accommodate orientation timing.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license with a focus on MS Oncology. Proficiency in independently administering various chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and injections per provider orders. Skilled in venipuncture, accessing and maintaining port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters. Experience with Epic EMR required. Solid understanding of hazardous drug handling and PPE protocols. Ability to educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatments, side effects, and disease management. Capable of maintaining precise, detailed medical records and collaborating with oncology physicians.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer cancer therapies and manage infusion processes. Monitor patient responses, recognize complications, and act swiftly in emergencies. Provide compassionate patient education and support. Ensure accuracy of documentation for every aspect of patient care. Uphold rigorous safety and compliance standards across all procedures.
