Schedule Details:
Must arrive the Thursday before your start date for a required health appointment on Friday.
Qualifications:
Active RN license Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Med-Surg Oncology Proficiency with Epic EMR Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred Demonstrated skill in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies Experience accessing and caring for port-a-caths, PICC, and Hickman lines Solid foundation in sterile techniques and hazardous drug handling Strong communication and education abilities with patients and caregivers
Responsibilities:
Independently administer a wide range of oncology therapies and injections as ordered Perform venipuncture, manage dressings, and process labs from vascular access devices Accurately monitor and document all treatments, medications, and patient responses Recognize and address unusual occurrences, collaborating with oncologists or nurse practitioners as needed Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapies, disease process, and supportive care Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of PPE Maintain accurate, timely patient records and uphold high standards of care
