Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Deliver critical care and make a direct impact in a dynamic adult environment as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a prestigious teaching hospital. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a Magnet-recognized, Level 1 Trauma facility with a dedicated focus on complex medical, cardiovascular, and surgical patients.
Schedule:
3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Every other weekend required Holiday shifts required as scheduled
Key Qualifications:
NBRC RRT
certification required (will also consider CRT) Valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license in hand at start Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years of adult critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist First-time travelers not accepted for this assignment Experience with complex adult ICU cases strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide advanced respiratory therapy to critically ill adult patients, including those with heart & lung transplants, LVADs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across a variety of adult care units, including Cardiovascular and Medical-Surgical ICUs, step-down, and general acute care floors Utilize Epic charting for accurate documentation Adhere to all hospital policies regarding floating (possible float to Main Hospital within adult population) Maintain readiness for possible emergency team assignment during hurricane season (June-November)
