Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Deliver expert respiratory care in an acute care environment, providing high-quality support to patients and clinical teams. This contract opportunity offers 36 hours per week on the night shift, with a schedule of 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, and every other weekend rotation. Skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists are preferred, though individuals with a Certified Respiratory Therapist background and strong acute care experience will also be considered.

Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; CRT with acute care experience considered Valid BLS certification required NRP certification preferred Experience with a range of respiratory modalities in an acute care setting Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills Ability to work effectively on night shifts and alternate weekends Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive respiratory care including assessments, treatments, and monitoring according to best practices and physician directives Manage ventilatory support, airway management, pulmonary interventions, and oxygen therapy Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Document care provided and patient responses accurately and timely in medical records Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and assist with resuscitation efforts as needed Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures, equipment, and therapies
