Expand your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with hands-on experience in a leading medical respiratory unit, serving patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This dynamic role provides exposure to a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles, as you collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float to different units and hospitals. Whether you choose a 36 or 48-hour workweek, you'll build your résumé with new skills and increase your versatility through travel assignments.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible options: 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Holidays as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing required Active Registered Nurse license for Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses) AHA BLS or Red Cross certification At least 2 years of relevant experience, or 18 months under the highest level of professional license with at least 1 recent year in respiratory specialty
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care in a 42-bed unit specializing in respiratory illnesses (COPD, pneumonia, shortness of breath, etc.) Float to additional hospital units as needed Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during daily rounds Care for a diverse patient population, including those with GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical needs Maintain adaptability in a fast-paced medical and step-down respiratory setting
