Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Embark on your next travel assignment in vibrant Louisville, KY—a city where southern charm seamlessly blends with a lively arts scene, rich history, and stunning parks. Schedule/Hours Shifts:
0600-1800 or 1800-0600 (12-hour shifts) Weekend rotation: 4 shifts per month Schedule made month-to-monthOn-call:
None Holiday coverage may be required as needed Professional Growth & Work Experience Serving a broad patient population—including adults with COPD, transplant needs, CVICU, cystic fibrosis, asthma, advanced heart failure, LVAD, neuro cases, home ventilator patients, and some pediatric exposure—you'll broaden your expertise and enhance your resume with every shift. First-time travelers with strong adult critical care backgrounds are welcome, and cross-training opportunities allow you to grow in pediatric care if interested. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)—CRT considered with substantial experience Minimum one year recent acute care experience in adult critical care BLS and ACLS certification required Comfortable with ventilator management, trach care, aerosol/MDI, ABG/ABLS, suctioning, CPT, PEP therapy Strong adaptability, eagerness to learn new technologies and treatment protocols Responsibilities Manage and monitor ventilator patients (ICU load capped at 6 ventilated patients) Provide oxygen and aerosol therapy, trach and airway management, ABG analysis, and respiratory interventions Float as needed within the hospital campus, including Frazier Rehab Use EMR (Cerner), Omnicell medication dispensing, and advanced equipment (V60 BiPAP, PB 980, Hamilton MR-1, and more) Participate in comprehensive onboarding and two-shift, department-specific orientation Benefits & Perks Tax-advantaged housing and meal stipends to support your Louisville experience Premium pay Travel support and reimbursement Comprehensive health benefits and 401(k) Job stability with consistent scheduling Meaningful adventures and cultural exploration on your days off Free, badge-access parking and distinctive ceil blue scrubs Level up your clinical career while discovering authentic Kentucky hospitality. and take the next step in your respiratory therapy journey!
