Job Description
Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide top-tier care in a critical illness and rehabilitation unit. This contract opportunity allows you to play a vital role in delivering intensive respiratory therapy and managing patient transports, while collaborating with a skilled, multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Advanced knowledge of respiratory care protocols, therapies, and equipment BLS and ACLS certification required Experience with ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers Proficiency in chest physiotherapy and various suctioning methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) Ability to interpret chest x-rays and perform 12-lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition Experience performing pulmonary function studies and arterial punctures Prior exposure to bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and chest tube management preferredSchedule/Hours:

Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, administer medications, and provide necessary humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation Evaluate patient conditions and recommend tailored treatment plans Educate patients and families on therapies, equipment usage, and discharge instructions Monitor patient condition using oximetry, capnography, and other standard tools Document all interventions, assessments, and patient outcomes in accordance with facility policy Collaborate with physicians and the care team, communicating changes and efficiencies in therapy Support safe and efficient shift transitions with thorough hand-offs and reporting Manage accurate respiratory therapy billing and data entry Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting respiratory equipment Make an immediate impact in patient care and rehabilitation with your expertise.
