Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide vital care in a dynamic acute care setting. This contract role requires a dedicated clinician with the flexibility and skills to float within the hospital environment, including labor and delivery, and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.
Schedule:
3x12-hour night shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every other weekend required Holiday rotation included No on-call required
Qualifications:
Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license at time of start Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC); CRT not accepted BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications—all current at start date Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience as RRT Ability to float to all hospital areas, including labor and delivery Experience with Epic charting preferred Block scheduling not accommodated Non-local candidates only (beyond a 60-mile radius) Must be able to accommodate all required time-off requests at submission
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy across multiple acuity levels Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform treatments such as airway management, ventilator support, and patient education Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans Maintain proper documentation and utilize Epic for charting Respond proactively during hurricane season as part of emergency response teams, if scheduled
