Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment, shifts and hours to be confirmed based on facility needsKey Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive respiratory care and patient transport per medical prescription, with minimal supervision Assess patients and recommend appropriate respiratory treatment plans Explain procedures, treatment purposes, and equipment to patients; provide thorough discharge education Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using both invasive and non-invasive equipment Operate and maintain ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices Perform chest physiotherapy and patient suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) Monitor patients using oximetry and capnography; review chest x-rays and recognize arrhythmias via 12-Lead EKG Conduct pulmonary function studies, tracheostomy/airway care, and arterial punctures as needed Support bronchoscopy and other related procedures; manage drainage devices and endotracheal tubes Deliver CPR perBLS/ACLS
guidelines; communicate efficiently during shift changeovers Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper respiratory therapy charges are recordedQualifications:
Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Experience with mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, and critical care environments preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and collaborate with physicians Familiarity with respiratory therapy clinical protocols and equipment maintenanceBenefits & Perks:
