Key Responsibilities:

Deliver intensive respiratory care, including patient transport, assessment, and creation of treatment plans within your licensure scope. Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulization devices. Explain procedures, equipment, and therapies to patients; provide discharge education. Perform chest physiotherapy, various methods of suctioning, oximetry, capnography, 12-lead EKGs, and pulmonary function studies. Assist with procedures related to respiratory care, such as bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and chest tube placements. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilatory equipment. Document all patient care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Participate in shift hand-off communications and maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and records.

Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist BLS and ACLS certifications Experience in critical care, rehabilitation, and transport highly valued Strong clinical assessment, equipment operation, and patient-education skills
