As a traveling Registered Nurse specializing in Rehab and Long-Term Care, you'll be working within a Critical Illness and Rehab setting, gaining invaluable exposure to a wide range of complex patient needs while learning from diverse leadership styles and workplace approaches. Travel assignment (details provided during interview or onboarding)
Key Responsibilities:
Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Identify educational needs for patients and plan teaching interventions in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses in compliance with policies. Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to achieve quality outcomes. Lead discharge planning and initiate patient education upon admission. Communicate effectively to support continuity of care and patient safety, including coordination with physicians and charge nurses. Supervise and provide direction to ancillary staff, delegating appropriately. Maintain a safe environment through diligent adherence to safety policies (patient handling, infection control, and hazard identification). Foster a supportive, team-oriented unit environment, participating in team-building activities. Manage resources efficiently, including supplies and documentation of care costs. Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation. Invest actively in your own professional growth through ongoing education.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Previous experience in Rehab/LTC preferred Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and teaching skills Commitment to a culture of safety and teamwork Excellent time management and organizational abilities
