1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring EP lab experience, scrub experience, and Epic proficiency. Details Work setting is an EP Lab within a large acute care teaching hospital featuring six state-of-the-art cath labs performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures annually Facility holds American College of Cardiology accreditation for PCI procedures and is supported by adjacent cardiac surgery and hybrid ORs Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, with rotating late shifts when cases extend into the evening No weekend or on-call requirements EP lab closes on facility holidays Epic EMR experience is required Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS and ACLS EP lab experience required Scrub experience required Proficiency with EP mapping required Skills required include sterile technique, EKG lead placement, and dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation Experience with fluoroscopy, Siemens, ultrasound, Philips, Carto Ensite, and Cardiolab systems required Strong cardiac background required Two professional references required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility per address on driver's license Additional Information Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center All staff rotate responsibility for staying late when cases extend into the evening Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract, rotated with staff Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facilitySimilar jobs in Roanoke, VA
