Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association Proficiency in comprehensive assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to independently manage acute, chronic, and postoperative patient care in a fast-paced setting New graduates and experienced nurses encouraged to apply; certification timelines dependent on experience and specialty area
Key Duties:
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety Educate patients and families regarding care, treatments, and discharge planning Recognize and act upon changes in patient condition, prioritizing patient-centered interventions Collaborate interprofessionally to coordinate holistic care and facilitate referrals as needed Accurately document interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record Adhere strictly to regulatory, quality, safety, and infection prevention standards Provide mentorship and support educational initiatives for staff and students
