Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Experience a dynamic healthcare environment as a registered respiratory therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact. Bring your advanced skills to a highly respected acute care hospital recognized for its commitment to compassionate and high-quality care. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary team utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
Schedule/Hours:
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week Rotating weekends
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current Respiratory Therapist license ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Critical care and emergency department experience strongly preferred Advanced competency in aerosol treatments, Bipap management, ventilator management, intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist Proficiency with Meditech documentation system is beneficial Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
Role Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care across all inpatient units, including two 10-bed intensive care units Manage and operate new Puritan Bennet 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, Seimens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers, and additional advanced equipment Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with a focus on safety and efficiency Collaborate within a supportive and skilled RT team, participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds to deliver optimal patient outcomes Float as needed throughout various hospital units to meet patient care needs
