Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Advance your respiratory therapy career by joining a dynamic hospital team where your expertise will serve patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate within a supportive atmosphere, guided by experienced leads and surrounded by providers and nurses committed to excellent patient outcomes. Diverse daily assignments keep work engaging, with exposure across inpatient units—including ER, rehab, and critical care. Schedule & Hours 12-hour shifts, 7-7 (day/night) Team-based scheduling Weekend rotation: Days—every third; Nights—every other; holidays rotate with permanent staff Qualifications & Experience Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory;
NRP & PALS
highly preferred Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry proficiency Experience with Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion vents; Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics BiPAPs; High flow (Airvo2) Valid driver's license required for compliance with facility distance rules Cannot hold current PRN/part-time/full-time status at facilities associated with CommonSpirit Adherence to the no artificial nails policy in all patient care settings Key Responsibilities Deliver respiratory care for a broad patient spectrum (neonates to geriatrics) Float between departments as needed Support both routine and urgent respiratory procedures Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Commit to a thorough 3-shift (12 hours each) facility orientation Experience a role that values adaptability, communication, and teamwork in a consistently stimulating environment.
