Job Description
Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional ready to make a meaningful impact by delivering respiratory therapy services within a dynamic clinical setting.
Qualifications:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active and valid state license as required Demonstrated experience in acute care and/or critical care preferred Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and therapies, including ventilation management and oxygen delivery systems Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team BLS and ACLS certifications requiredKey Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to patients as ordered by physicians and according to established protocols Perform patient assessments and monitor responses to therapy, adjusting as necessary Operate and maintain various respiratory devices, including ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen therapy equipment Provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments and interventions Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans and ensure coordination of services Document all therapy provided and patient responses clearly and accurately in electronic health records Participate in emergency response situations, including code blue events This role offers a rewarding chance to contribute to patient recovery in a collaborative setting.
