Job Description

This opportunity places you within a Critical Illness and Rehab setting—a specialized environment that offers valuable insight into a range of patient needs and advanced respiratory care techniques. With each shift, you'll collaborate with a diverse team, observe a variety of leadership styles, and add meaningful new experiences to your resume. Stepping into this role, you'll provide intensive respiratory care, participate in patient transport, and carry out a spectrum of procedures that expand your clinical acumen. Desired Qualifications:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist license Experience with ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive) Proficiency in chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and capnography monitoring Skilled in oximetry, EKG, arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function studies Capable of performing arterial puncture, tracheostomy care, and endotracheal tube management BLS and ACLS certified Prior experience in a rehab, critical illness, or hospital setting is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients, recommend and carry out treatment plans, educate patients and families Administer physician-prescribed treatments and operate various respiratory devices Perform suctioning, physiotherapy, and monitoring as indicated Carry out respiratory-related procedures, including support during chest tube and tracheostomy care Maintain accurate charting and hand-off communications Participate in equipment setup, monitoring, and preventive maintenance Ensure compliance with lab testing protocols and quality assurance processes
