Key Qualifications:

Training and experience as a Surgical Technologist Thorough understanding of sterile technique and the principles of asepsis Familiarity with the use and care of surgical instruments and equipment Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout diverse procedures Excellent communication and organizational abilities Able to accurately account for medications, instruments, sharps, and sponges Responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high patient care standards

Role Responsibilities:

Apply comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, verifying and preparing items from the physician preference card; ensure accurate patient charges for supplies used Assemble, operate, and monitor all necessary surgical equipment and instruments; ensure all materials are prepared, sterile, and functioning Cleanse and sterilize equipment and disposables following protocol; maintain organized and ready supply areas Maintain a strictly sterile environment; monitor sterile fields and immediately recognize any breaks in sterility Set up sterile instrument fields promptly and efficiently; accurately track all instruments, medications, and sponges according to policy Assist the surgical team in anticipating and meeting all needs throughout procedures for optimal patient outcomes If you thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and are dedicated to providing exceptional support to clinical teams, we'd like to connect with you.
