Schedule/Hours:
Travel position (varied shifts may apply based on facility need)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room by arranging supplies, equipment, and instruments in accordance with surgical protocols Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures, safeguarding patient safety Assist the surgical team by passing instrumentation and supporting all surgical specialties and procedures Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members to facilitate smooth operations Ensure proper care, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments and equipment Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards before, during, and after surgical interventions
Desired Qualifications:
Experience as a surgical technologist or operating room technician (ORT), ideally in a travel capacity Proficiency with aseptic techniques and a variety of surgical procedures Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams Strong communication skills and attention to detail Valid certification and state licensure for surgical technology (as required)
