By taking on this temporary Stepdown RN position in a 27-bed Cardio-Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit, you'll collaborate with a team known for strong leadership and experienced staff. You'll immerse yourself in progressive care practices, manage complex cardiac cases, and expand your clinical portfolio—all while benefiting from exposure to different workplace systems and leadership styles. Schedule:
12-hour day shifts Every other weekend and major holiday required (potential for blocked weekends) No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius)Key Qualifications:
Active RN license (or compact eligible) Minimum 1 year RN experience; at least 6 months in acute care preferred Prior experience in stepdown or progressive care settings Proven ability to pass EKG exam and interpret rhythm strips Skilled with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone) Experience managing BiPAP and insulin dripsBLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications required Strong communication, clinical judgment, and adaptabilityResponsibilities:
Comprehensive patient assessment and monitoring in a cardiac stepdown environment Titration of cardiac medications and management of complex clinical situations Unit-based tasks: lab draws, peripheral IV starts, patient/family education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Patient care assignment in line with skills and regulatory guidelinesBenefits & Travel Perks:
