Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Blossom, TX

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts: Tuesday through Friday weekly Weekly orientations held

Mondays Key Qualifications:

Active RN license along with current required certifications (must be completed prior to start) Prior stepdown or progressive care experience strongly preferred Minimum of 60 miles distance from facility to qualify as a traveler Strong assessment, monitoring, and communication skills Adaptability to high-acuity hospital settings, including Level 3 Trauma and Level 1 NICU environments

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams Monitor patient conditions post-surgery or critical illness, managing complex medication regimens and advanced technologies Respond promptly to changes in patient status, escalating care when necessary Contribute to patient education, discharge planning, and thorough documentation in accordance with facility protocols This 154-bed hospital is Joint Commission Accredited, recognized for orthopedic outcomes, and offers advanced primary stroke and chest pain care.
