Job Description

Schedule/Hours 12-hour day shifts Rotating every other weekend & major holidays (possible weekend block scheduling) Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans within a 27-bed Cardio-Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit Manage and titrate cardiac drips (Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone; no vasopressors) Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on bedside monitors for all patients Initiate and oversee BiPAP and insulin drips Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate patient care, and contribute to patient/family education Float within demonstrated competencies to Stepdown, ICU, Med/Surg, and ED, as necessary Engage in quality improvement and act as a safety advocate Utilize advanced equipment such as Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, bedside cardiac monitors, GlucoStabilizer, Hoyer lifts, and more Qualifications Active RN license (in state or Compact) At least 1 year of RN experience, with 6+ months in acute care preferred Must pass EKG exam at orientation (study guide provided)
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
