This travel position places you at the heart of a high-acuity 40-bed PCU, with an average daily census of 24, allowing for substantial clinical growth alongside seasoned practitioners. You'll work under experienced leadership styles, integrating best practices from a large healthcare system and interacting with culturally varied populations, notably Hispanic and Somalian communities. Expand your résumé as you sharpen your expertise across a broad patient mix, including cardiac, dialysis, oncology, and post-surgical cases, as well as mastering arterial lines and titrating critical drips.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (1830-0630), 36 hours/week guaranteed Every other weekend required Minimum of 2 holidays per contract Floating to MedSurg/ICU with PCU-level patientsQualifications:
Active RN license Two years' recent stepdown or PCU experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Competency in arterial line management Strong adaptability; commitment to learning and teamwork Able to read and interpret telemetry strips Driver's license (for compliance verification)Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized care for adults with cardiac, med/surg, oncology, and respiratory needs Monitor, interpret, and titrate high-acuity drips Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide leadership when required Participate in performance-focused patient care initiativesBenefits:
