Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Step into an essential nursing role specializing in Stepdown care within a respected and progressive medical facility. This dynamic contract opportunity offers the perfect blend of professional growth and exposure to advanced patient care, all while experiencing the charm and unique character of historic Paris, Texas.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week (Tuesday-Friday) Weekly orientation on Mondays (required) Travel eligibility: Must reside 60 miles or more from facility
Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Stepdown nursing experience strongly preferred Current certifications required prior to start (please prepare all relevant credentials upon application) Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Stepdown patients in a 154-bed hospital recognized for advanced clinical programs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support Level 3 Trauma and primary acute stroke and cardiac care services Monitor and assess patient status, providing timely interventions per evidence-based practice Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with hospital standards Educate patients and families to support recovery and understanding of care plans Why consider this opportunity?
