Schedule/Hours:
Weekend rotation: every other weekend No on-call for travelers Expect to work 75% of major holidays
Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN license Minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience (Resource Team) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficiency in managing critical care drips, stroke patient care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and advanced PCU skillset Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors Ability and willingness to float across assigned regional facilities First-time travelers considered, but prior travel experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive stepdown/progressive care for patients with complex needs, including stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and GI conditions Manage various tubes, drains, and infusions (e.g., blood products, critical care medications) Perform patient assessments, documentation, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Adapt to shifts between facilities as needed and work independently with a high level of competence
