Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Technician (ORT) to support surgical services on a contract basis. In this important nursing role, you will be integral to successful surgical outcomes, working collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification or licensure as an Operating Room Technician Proven experience supporting nursing and surgical teams in the operating room Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instruments Ability to anticipate the needs of surgical staff and assist effectively Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative approach
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and performing counts of sponges and tools Collaborate with nurses and other team members to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after surgery Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established safety protocols Support in the handling and care of specimens as directed Ensure proper cleaning and restocking of the operating room following each procedure Benefits of this
