Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Experience the best of Maine in the picturesque town of Belfast, where a vibrant harbor community blends coastal charm with small-town warmth. Working as a travel surgical scrub tech here offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience in a progressive operating room, while enjoying proximity to scenic hiking trails, waterfront parks, fresh seafood, and cozy cafés. Schedule/Hours:
Four nine-hour shifts per week: 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday On-call responsibilities (5-6 shifts per month) Occasional late Fridays as needed Limited weekend requirements (on rotation)
Qualifications:
Experience in surgical scrubbing or as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) Current ORT certification required Familiarity with EMR systems; experience in surgical patient care strongly preferred Adaptable, team-oriented, and professional presence
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain sterile fields in the operating room Assist surgical teams throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, and other staff in a three-OR, two-procedure room setting Adhere to all safety protocols and facility policies Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment
