Take your professional journey to new heights as a skilled Operating Room Technician (ORT) in one of the area's leading cardiovascular surgery departments. Here, you'll broaden your clinical expertise by working with a diverse team, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, and being exposed to a wide range of complex cases—including open-heart, CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, and innovative ION robotic procedures. Collaborate with experienced leaders and benefit from a cohesive, family-like department atmosphere as you adapt to multiple specialties.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday-Friday:
6:45 am-3:15 pm (start at 6:00 am for Open Heart Case Prep, as notified day before) Call required: 3-4 weeknights per week (3:15 pm-6:45 am) Rotating weekend call every other to every third weekend (Fri 3:15 pm-Mon 6:45 am) Rotating holidays, 15-minute call response time Sleep room available, nearby housing recommended for callQualifications:
Active BLS certification Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT, and ND UAP required At least 2 years of recent CVOR experience including open-heart procedures and first scrubbing Willingness to cross train into general OR and float as a 1:1 sitter as needed Flexibility to work across various specialties beyond CV as case volume fluctuatesResponsibilities:
Scrubbing for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular cases Adapting to general OR roles as needed, including second scrubbing in ortho/general Providing floor support as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours if CVOR volume is low Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and demonstrating a commitment to department goals Participating in rotating call, holiday shifts, and flexible assignmentsBenefits & Perks:
