Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) where you'll contribute your expertise within a dynamic surgical team. In this contract role, you'll provide critical support during a variety of procedures, helping to create an efficient and safe environment for patients and clinical staff.
Key Qualifications:
Certification or licensing as a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician (ORT) Demonstrated experience assisting in surgical operations, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during procedures Effective communicator with excellent organizational skills Committed to upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterilized and organized Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies Monitor and maintain sterile field to reduce risk of infection Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure accurate tracking Assist with patient positioning and transport as required Clean, disinfect, and restock operating rooms after completion of procedures Communicate effectively with surgical team to support optimal patient care This contract position offers a unique chance to expand your experience in the OR while working within a skilled and supportive surgical team.
