Schedule/Hours:

Travel assignment; specific schedule details provided during onboarding

Core Responsibilities:

Assisting during surgical procedures to maintain sterile fields and provide instrumentation to the surgical team Applying principles of sterile and aseptic technique, surgical procedure knowledge, and current AORN standards Inspecting all surgical items for proper packaging, sterility, and expiration Monitoring the operating room environment for safety and equipment readiness Participating fully in Time Out processes including briefings and debriefings Assisting with patient transport, room turnover, and preparation Staying current with new surgical technology, instruments, and procedures Supporting decontamination and terminal sterilization of instruments Demonstrating professional communication with the perioperative team Role modeling Just Culture principles and maintaining HIPAA compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist Active Surgical Technologist license in Colorado required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Strong written and spoken English skills Adept with computers and online learning platforms (within 90 days of hire) Experience across all patient age groups, from neonatal to geriatric
