As an Operating Room RN, you'll deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout all phases of the surgical journey, utilizing your skills as a circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU nurse. The setting allows for high visibility, direct impact on patient outcomes, and ongoing skill development. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary surgical team and participate in a supportive on-call rotation, strengthening both your clinical expertise and adaptability.
Schedule/Hours:
Travelers begin on Wednesdays Orientation week: 36 hours guaranteed (for 48-hour contract travelers starting midweek) On-call rotation: one night weekly and every fourth weekend, 30-minute response time requiredKey Responsibilities:
Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in all operative phases: pre-op, intra-op, and post-anesthesia recovery Work flexibly as a circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN; cross-training provided Support patient safety by adhering to AORN standards and surgical safety protocols Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and allied staff to coordinate high-quality careRequired Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program Active Vermont or multi-state RN license Minimum two years of perioperative experience BLS certification (AHA) Exceptional clinical judgement, communication, and critical thinking abilities Eagerness to engage in all perioperative roles; training and support provided Enjoy premium travel perks including tax-free stipends, travel assistance, and premium compensation.
