Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Travel Play a vital role in a dynamic imaging department specializing in general ultrasound at a nationally ranked 472-bed acute care facility renowned for its excellence in cardiovascular, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic, bariatric, and women's services. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of a collaborative, highly skilled team providing essential diagnostic imaging services with advanced equipment and technology. This opportunity requires a strong commitment to a heavy call schedule, including weekends and nights.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts (days or nights) Heavy call required
Qualifications:
Current BLS certification Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and RVT credentials Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience as an Ultrasound Technologist Adaptable and able to work independently in fast-paced, varied environments Critical thinker with the ability to respond calmly and effectively to complex situations Flexible and willing to cover weekends and nights as needed ACLS certification is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive ultrasound imaging using sound wave technology to capture accurate internal body images Operate state-of-the-art GE, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines to assist in diagnostic assessments Maintain detailed patient records within the Meditech EMR system Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess and interpret imaging results Adhere to stringent infection control and safety protocols Comply with department dress code—gray scrubs for
