Opportunity:
Sonography- Imaging
- Sonography (Lindy Mayerl)
Job Details:
- Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule
- No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
- Must have 1 year of sonographer experience specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Perform basic to advanced obstetric diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures
- Conduct first trimester, nuchal translucency, anatomy, growth, dopplers, and biophysical profile examinations
- Perform basic fetal echocardiography, transvaginal ultrasound, portable imaging, amniocentesis, and chorionic villi sampling (CVS)
- Select proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound exams including doppler, color imaging, M-mode and real time
- Review medical records to obtain clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders
- Calibrate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment and evaluate new products
- Participate in department quality assurance studies and maintain examination records
- Assist in clinical instruction of sonography students, OB/GYN residents, and medical students
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties requiring lifting and pushing/pulling
- Required certifications: Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN from ARDMS and Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and proficiency in identifying cross sectional anatomy
