Travel assignment; flexible scheduling according to facility needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a range of diagnostic radiographic examinations by carefully positioning patients and selecting appropriate immobilization devices. Operate specialized radiologic equipment and make technical adjustments tailored to each patient's needs. Minimize radiation exposure by using cone and collimating devices; ensure non-essential areas are protected. Conduct portable X-ray procedures in a variety of settings, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms. Properly process, identify, and mark all films; maintain accurate patient records and requisitions. Prepare and assist with the administration of radiopaque contrast media under physician direction. Deliver individualized care, providing support that matches each patient's mobility and communication needs. Take on administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient instruction, record maintenance, and reception as needed. Maintain an organized and safe workspace, and meet minimal physical requirements for lifting, pushing, and standing.
Qualifications:
Valid Radiologic Technologist certification. Prior experience in a similar imaging/radiology setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, tailored to various populations and needs. Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
