Job Description

Category Imaging - X-ray Job Type Travel An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced professional skilled in X-ray imaging to provide essential diagnostic services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role focuses on supporting inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and surgical procedures, utilizing advanced imaging equipment to ensure high-quality patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position Participation in 1-2 of 3 major summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) expected, unless the unit is closed Flexible on-call and overtime opportunities
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Expertise in X-ray imaging, with working knowledge of Siemens (x-ray room/portables) and GE c-arm equipment Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system Capable of managing a high scan volume (average 100-120 scans per day) Willingness to assist in both patient transport and imaging procedures across multiple care settings (outpatient, inpatient, ED, and surgery) Commitment to organizational policies, including separation policies concerning prior employment as outlined for contract/travel assignments Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of X-ray procedures for diverse patient populations Support the workflow in busy environments, adapting to inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings Ensure accurate patient identification, preparation, and positioning Document all procedures and patient encounters in the
EPIC EMR
system Coordinate and assist with patient transport as necessary, particularly for ER and outpatient cases Participate in on-call rotations and contribute during scheduled holidays as required
