Job Description

Job Opportunity:
Working Foreman (Team members that can Erect, Detail, Sheet IMP and walls)
Location:
Abilene,TX Pay:
$27-$33/hr plus per diem- $115/day
Schedule:
Full-Time, Contract | M-F 7-5 with a 45-minute lunch. Saturdays are 8 hours 7-3:30 and occasional Sundays if needed (4 hours, no double pay). About the Role In this role, you will lead field crews in assembling steel structures, acting as a hands-on supervisor responsible for safety, quality control, and schedule adherence. Interpret blueprints, operate heavy equipment, and install structural steel, wall panels.
Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Supervise, train, and direct erection crews (ranging from 2 to 35+ workers) on site.
Hands-On Assembly:
Lead the erection of structural steel, framing, insulated metal panels (IMPs), and sheeting.
Safety Enforcement:
Ensure compliance with
OSHA 1926
standards, conduct daily tool talks, and manage fall protection.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineered drawings, site plans, and erection sequence plans.
Project Management:
Coordinate site logistics, manage material storage, and track daily progress to meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving:
Resolve on-site, technical, or logistics issues and communicate with
Project Managers Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 4-5 years in PEMB construction and steel erection.
Certifications:
OSHA 10 or 30-hour
REQUIRED
Skills:
Proficiency in operating forklifts, boom lifts, and rigging.
Knowledge:
Expertise in insulation systems. Preferred Qualifications NCCCO rigger/signal certification. Proficiency in software like Procore for field reporting.
